Garnett,
KS, March 1, 2009. - Michael W Burns, RPh., President/CEO
of AuBurn Pharmacy, Inc. announced today the hiring
of Ed Pyle as Director of Health Care Relations and
Programs. "The industry of healthcare today,
particularly pharmacy, demands a focus on both the
healthcare consumer and those who are involved in
the delivery of that care. I believe our success
over the last 18 years has been due to a focus on
service and innovation. As that focus on our markets
and services has grown, so has the need for someone
whose sole purpose is to promote our mission and
vision as well as assuring that the promises included
are being delivered," said Burns.
As
Director of Health Care Relations and Programs, Mr.
Pyle will
be AuBurn Pharmacy's liaison for healthcare professionals
to communicate their needs and requests for their
patients directly. This type of partnering with
healthcare providers will in turn increase benefits
to the patients
AuBurn Pharmacy serves. Ed is already working closely
with the AuBurn Pharmacy's management team on The
AuBurn Advantage program that will offer costs
savings and customer loyalty benefits to customers
and employers.
Burns continued, "As the nation works harder
to find cost effective and competent healthcare coverage
and pharmacy services, we want to be directly involved
in that process. We are confident we can help employer
groups and individuals do just that."
Ed
Pyle comes to AuBurn Pharmacy with an extensive background
of over 23 years in the pharmaceutical industry
having worked as a Senior Sales Representative for
companies such as Amgen Inc., Sepracor Inc. and Roche
Labs. In his personal life, Ed has waged a personal
battle against Leukemia. At age 5 '/z his daughter,
Madeline, was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia
and would spend the next 2 '/2 years in chemotherapy.
Madeline, now 20, has fought to beat the odds, and
has joined her dad every step of the way on his crusade
